Skookum House

Skookum Kids' first initiative, the Skookum House, provides a safe place for children in their first week of foster care, which provides caseworkers with time to find the best long-term placement.

Why a Book?

Children entering the Skookum House have often just been through one of the roughest weeks of their lives. They have been displaced from their home and they're likely afraid and lonely. However, the wonders of bedtime stories capture their minds and gives them hope.
