Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the Christian Bible was breathed out by God and written down by human hands. It is the inerrant, inspired Word of God consisting of 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
God
We believe in one God, who exists in three equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and self-existent. Perfect fellowship and mutual love exist among the Godhead.
Jesus
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless humanity; in His miracles; in His perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people through the shedding of His blood and death on the cross; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
Man
We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his own image. Our first parents existed in perfect, unbroken fellowship with God in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve sinned, wanting to be like God. Every human is now born with a sin nature and is desperately in need of a Savior.
The Gospel
We believe that the gospel is the good news of Jesus the Christ as proclaimed through his perfect life, gruesome death, final burial, and glorious resurrection. This gospel is that God made Jesus to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Jesus took our place and was our substitution. This proclaims God’s unending and abundant love for mankind in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Salvation
As mentioned above, we believe that each member of the human race is fallen, sinful, lost, and dead in our sins. We need to be forgiven of our sins and made alive in Christ. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in our Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the third person of the Trinity takes up residence in each believer at their salvation. Each believer is commanded to be filled with him and will produce supernatural fruit because of his indwelling work. He is our comforter and our helper, and he exists in the church today to glorify Christ.
Christ's Return
We eagerly await the moment of Jesus’ second coming. We believe that every eye will see him tear open the sky and return as perfect Judge and reigning King.
